Electronic payment is playing a key role in boosting financial transactions within West Africa and is fast tracking wide-ranging changes in the region’s economy. With the adoption of electronic payment channels - including cards, ATMs, POS terminals, mobile phones and the Internet – transactions that are lower cost, more predictable, more convenient and transparent have become a reality.
